With the arrival of good weather and holidays, we invite you to live once the typical traditions of the levantine Semana Santa.
On Monday, April 22, the people of Alicante go the countryside, to the beach or to any place to eat "la mona", a traditional sweet Easter bun that symbolises the end of Lent. It has a hard-boiled egg in the middle that can be smashed on the head of a friend.
We offer you a plan to enjoy "el lunes the mona at the Serra Grossa, a mountain that is very close to Alicante. Once up you can enjoy the incredible views of Alicante, San Juan beach and Cabo de las Huertas. From this mountain the Albufereta beach is one step away too. You can see in this post a picture of "la mona de pascua", you can find it in several shapes and sizes.
We will meet at 11:30 PM in the Central Market and we will go to the Serra Grossa.Bring "la mona" (which you can buy at any other supermarket such as Mercadona, Día, Carrefour, Consum... or in any bakery) and sandwiches, and drinks because we'll do a picknip on the top of the mountain.
Join us and live an experience to make your friends envy you! See you there!!
- Everyone is invited.
